Article 231.2
To protect the life and health of employees, the employer is required to take all useful measures adapted to the operating conditions of the enterprise.
In particular, they must organize facilities and regulate the pace of work so as to best protect employees from accidents and diseases.
All establishments or enterprises regularly employing at least twenty-five employees must establish a health and safety committee.
This committee is responsible for studying, developing, and overseeing the implementation of prevention and protection measures in the areas of occupational health and safety.
Heads of establishments, directors, managers, or representatives who have dangerous work carried out are required to mention the exact nature of such work in a declaration addressed to the labor inspector and the occupational physician.
They are responsible for applying to employees the protection measures provided for to this end. -
Article 231.6
Every establishment head is required to organize appropriate practical training in safety, hygiene, and occupational health for the benefit of workers they hire, workers who change their workstation or technique, and workers returning to work after a work stoppage of more than six months.
This training must be updated for all personnel in the event of changes in legislation or regulations.
